Our History...
The Heart of Iowa Chorus was chartered in July 1966 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Since chartered, the chorus has been a part of Region 7, 20 and is currently a member of the Spirit of the Midwest Region Five. There are sever members of the chours who have been in Sweet Adelines more than 35 years and sevearl more who have recently joined. In 1983 while being a member of Region 20, the Heart of Iowa came away wiht First Place. This entitiled the chorus to go to the International Convention and Competition which was in Las Vegas, NV. Sine then we have been through many chnages, but our love for song and harmony still holds strong, as does our desire to imporve our chorus.
